If you have Photoshop, you can create a mask and link it to a color filled layer for each color you want to use and use the multiply setting. I have done this before and it is very convincing. It takes a while to do since you are creating a mask for each color you want to use. After that you can add more depth by painting in highlights/shadows. If you aren't happy with the color you can adjust by hue/saturation.

Not easy! Get into Photoshop and play! You will be able to add colour but not as natural as with an original colour pic. B&W and sepia photos were once hand coloured, before colour film but this is an art that requires considerable skill. Just enjoy your B&W shots, they are an art form in themselves.

A good thing you can do is attending a comprehensive photography course. If you can't afford it there are many online courses available.
