Most cats do not need bathed as they are very clean animals. A kitten, especially, should not be bathed unless absolutely necessary as they are at risk of getting sick if they get too cold. If you find it necessary to bath your cat, try the bathing cloths or dry baths available at most pet stores. This should only be used if the cat/kitten has gotten itself into a real mess. Congrats on the new addition!

By the way cats react to water, I'd have to say never unless they get into some nasty stuff. I've had cats hang off my arm trying to escape the bath even though I did nothing mean or threatening. I'd brush your cat and maybe wipe her down with a warm, damp cloth once in awhile and do the same with her face more often, but that's where I would end it.

Cats don't need baths and, in spite of what some people do to their cats, it can be hard on their skin. The only time a cat needs a bath is if it gets really dirty, like grease from going under a car, etc. But, indoor cats can take very good care of keeping themselves clean and should only require a good diet and some combing or brushing from their companions to keep a beautiful coat.

Not too often as too frequent bathing will dry out the kitten's skin. If you think you want to bathe your cat it is good to start when they are young.

I have six cats, two 14, one 13, one 11, one 10. They have never had a bath in their lives. I have a 22 yr old cat who does not groom herself anymore and she goes every month or six weeks to a groomer for a combout and bath.

I bath my cat's only a couple of times a year, when they need it. either they stink, have too much dander or my allergies are that bad that they need it. Be careful of your kitten's ears and eyes, I avoid washing thier head all together.
Some say that cat's don't need baths but the best opinion is that of your vet.

Never. Cats are very clean animals and can take care of washing them self on their own.
If it is absolutely necessary that your cat needs to have a bath or something; just get a wet cloth and wipe her. Then you should make sure she is dried properly.

I had a cat once. I never bathed it. He would have killed me. Literally.

I've read recommendations to bathe your cat if you are allergic to cat dander. Personally, if that's the case, I'd choose a different pet.

cats dont need to be bathed unless absolutely necessary. it is not very good for their skin , but if it gets dirty like if it has rolled around in mud, then yes, but if it isnt too bad, they can clean it themselves. i only bathe my cat like 3 times a year because she doesnt really need it. but if it does get dirty enough, dont put it in a bucket or pool of water and keep in mind they dont like getting wet.

You should not be bathing your kitten at all - unless she got totally mucky in something.
