Cats are essentially mindless. They see something and they get fixated on it. Draw a big black dot on the wall and the cat will stare at that.

It wants some attention, or it might be waiting to see if you are going to give it some food. Cats know our habits in the house better than we do. What else do they have to do but watch what we do? Pick it up and pet it or cuddle it, if cats don't like you they won't stare at you all the time. It likes you.

Mostly cats don't do that. When I first got Tiger & Midnight my cats as a baby. They used to stare at me. After a while that stopped as they grew up. If you have a full grown cat that stares at you still then it's proboally just it's habit of doing that.

The cat is probably looking at the Ghost above or Behind you. Cats see dead people. The kitty could also just be looking into your soul. Cats are crazy like that.

She admires you and doesn't want to be far from you. She's not pushy, but if you move, she wants to follow quietly behind you. (I just made that up.) But our animals do observe us and know what we are going to do next before we do. Just go over and give her a nice head rub and tell her some sweet words and she'll be reassured and maybe take a cat nap.

That's just the way cats are. If it is driving you crazy perhaps you should look the other way.

He wants your attention and he loves you. He is familiar to you and recognizes you anywhere he would be. Just give him more attention and your cat would be less unappreciated and less worried about attention
