This is God talking to Jesus.

The first LORD, since it is in all caps, refers to God, and only God, throughout the Bible. It is the Hebrew tetragrammaton YHWH, commonly translated Yahweh or Jehovah in English, yet is omitted from many Bibles (not the NWT or KJV though).

The second Lord, not in all caps, is from the Hebrew "A’·dho·ni′" and may also be translated as "master."

The writer of this Psalm was King David, and his master was Jesus Christ, who is called Lord (never all caps) multiple times in the New Testament. His LORD was Jehovah God.

David was talking about when God would give Kingship of His heavenly government to His son, Christ Jesus. This occured in 1914, the same year that Satan and his demons were ousted from heaven and restricted to the vicinity of the Earth.

Keep in mind that WWI started that same year and the account in Revelation foretold "woe for the earth and sea, because the Devil has come down to you with great anger, knowing he has a short period of time." Coincidence? I think not.

Some food for thought, at the very least.

THE LORD = Jehovah
MY LORD = Messiah, Jesus Christ

Psalms 110: 1-7 is talking about the credentials for the Messiah. It is an oft-quoted Psalm because of its clear references to the Messiah.

Hope this helps.

God Bless!

God the Father was speaking about Jesus who is also God. It's like this passage from Hebrews that quotes Psalm 45.

Hebrews 1:8 But of the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions."

Don't believe that garbage about Jesus being created that someone else who is probably a Jehovah's witness posted. They think that Jesus is the arch-angel Michael.

Hebrews 1:5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son, today I have begotten you"? Or again, "I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son"? 6 And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him." 7 Of the angels he says, "He makes his angels winds, and his ministers a flame of fire."

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made....14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

col 1:15 says that Jesus was the first of his creations.
who's creations? Then Psalms 83:18 says the supreme almighty god is Jehovah. So the Almighty one is the one that has always been here, Jehovah. The Lord to whom he is speaking is Jesus his first creation. One day Jesus will rule the world.

It may be that God may have been addressing the king through a prophet. Verse 4 seems messianic. It identifies the King as a perpetual priest according to the order of Melchizedek, identified in Gen. 14:18 as "king of Salem" and priest of God Most High. No king of Israel was ever permitted to usurp the role of priest.

LORD refers to God and Lord refers to master of the house/palace/building. It is saying that God will help the master of the house defeat his enemies.

Cheers!
