She could be allergic to some types of seafood or large quantities of seafood. My wife broke out really bad after gorging on crab at an all you can eat crab crack buffet in Maine. We've had crab numbers of times before & since but she had no reaction. But, she has never pigged out on it like that time either. So, there is a good possibility your freind isn't lying.

California rolls has artificial crab meat in it, which is actually Pollock. She might just be allergic to the bottom feeder fish, which many people are. Some people are only allergic to crab and shrimp, clams and mussles. Why would she lie about that? It depends from what waters the seafood comes from too.

Sure. Maybe she means some seafoods bother her and others don't. Some seafoods have more iodine in them than others, some none at all. That is usually the cause of a seafood allergy.

Yes this is possible. I suffer from seafood allergies also sometimes. I was not always allergic. I grew up eating seafood regularly. It just bothered me one day and has been bothering me ever since. I can not eat shrimp, lobster, or crab at all because it will swell up my throat but I can eat fish and clams sometimes. It doesn't matter how much I eat of clams or fish, sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. My body is just like that. Your friend is probaby just like me.

yes oh yes,yes,yes..... it could be the type of seafood she is eating, Or where the seafood is coming from. it might not be the seafood but the metals and other things in the water. That have found there way into the fish.... Have same trouble

That's not possible, she could possibly be allergic to a type of seafood though, or she could just be lying to get out of eating something

Some people can be allergic to certain type of seafood only and some to the amount they eat and how often they eat them..

No sorry to say this but shes lying or she only allergic to shell fish{California Rools dont have seafood in them}

Yes, that's very possible.
She can be allergic to large quanitities eaten consistently. If she has seafood once every few weeks, she won't have a reaction.

you eiter are or youarent... when you body ingests something that you are allergic too even in small amounts, it releases histamine and causes an reaction. She could however be allergic to certain kinds of seafood.
