...and my ex eventually agreed with me/admitted that it was his fault. He also moved away...to another part of the country. I still love him, he said he still loves me, but I can't live with the "problem" that broke us up. Is there any good that can come out of keeping in contact with him?

its a good thing to both of you to analize the real situation, than if you are both married there are some differences to patch off. if you are both distined to each other, no matter what, no matter how long it takes to wait, no matter how far the distance between to both of you. if you are really meant to each other it will happen. dont get worried, give him time to think and give him space. if he is for you it will happen and who knows he will make a surprise call. i think he still cares for you. good luck

If you are able to keep a friendship without this problem weighing it down, of course not! If both people are mature enough to admit the problem and talk it out, then there's lots of potential for a friendship to arise from any relationship. Best of luck!

My initial reaction is to say forget about it! Keeping in contact will only remind you of the good AND the bad times, and you will probably make an irrational decision based on what you remember
