One day after taking antibiotics you are no longer contagious. I know this because I just had strep and tried to get out of going to work and the doctor said I would be fine to go to work because I wouldn't be contagious anymore. I'm also a nurse. So go ahead and have your guests over.

Once you are on the antibiotics for 24 hours and have no fever, you should no longer be contagious, but I still wouldn't kiss anyone or use the same silverware, etc.
