that will not allow me to try the feature I am interested in to allow me to asses the software properly I can understand the time limit on the program but surely if you need to try the software why not allow it to function so you can actually give it a trial as it will expire anyway after a week or so ? I have laid out ££££££££££££££££ on software that fails to deliver what it promises on the packaging !

Hi PARADOX,

It might still be kind of buggy and those features don't even work yet. If the trialware isn't working to your satisfaction then it's a good thing that you're not out any money, I guess. ;-) Look elsewhere.

I love downloading stuff at versiontracker

Do a search there and see if you can find anything more worthy. Good luck.

A freeware is a software which has no limitations and is free of cost and u can be able to use it as long as u want.
As for shareware programs they are usually meant to be bought for a cost. They are free trial versions of the actual software. They will contain limitations in various forms. For instance: some sharewares will offer full service upto a limited time period, some will offer for an unlimited period with several key functions disabled, while the others which u are talking about are those like spyware doctor etc which will only detect spywares on ur comp but will not remove it unless u buy the software

Freeware is free regardless of how long you use. Some examples are like AVG Free version and Ad-Aware. They are free, but some have the basic components compared to paid version that has more features. Shareware, Commercial Demo, Trial are all the same. They are trials of the full paid program with full features for a certain amount of time. Some trials and demos have limited components and are also timed before they cannot be used. Open Source is totally different from those terms. Open Source is the coding of the program that is opened freely for anyone to see and even edit (I think... on the editing part)

They are both essentially the same thing. They usually will want you to install some sort of a toolbar or advertising program to install spyware on your computer. Freeware is generally safer, as they usually just want you to try their product. If you downloaded the software from a website I suggest contacting them or searching their website for other similar problems.

"Shareware" is software that you must pay for. "Freeware" is FREE software that you may download and use free of charge. Just make sure that you're buying software from a legit site. If not, you may not get your product at all. Hope this helped!
