It's not safe to kiss everyone on the cheek, lips or mouth or damn near any other body parts unless you know them personally or intimately ( Fear of herpes and other creepy crawlies). A hug (careful, you might get some sour body odor), can be a little bit polite and overly done to show emotion - it depends on who your hugging. When I meet someone I offer a hand shake (after inspecting their nails) and at times will observe their movements and habits during the get together and then at the end may offer a hug or kiss depending on how the person appears to be.

only hug if you feel an overwhelming feeling to do so. only kiss if that person looks like they don't mind you doing that. i guess what i mean is if you get the sense from the other person that its OK , then go for it , yeah do them both dude

I like hugs during a sweet moment, like when you just got through doing something fun. I like kisses during a romantic moment, like when he tells me he loves me. Really just depends on the mood of it all.

i say both, kiss because it shows love and close relationship. Hug because u feel all warm and fuzzy inside and it shows care

i love when you have a huge tight and long warm hug then when you lean back they kiss you while you r hugging it makes you feel warm and secure
