Then be celibate, if it bothers you so much. I think you are worrying too much about that, God loves you, it is people that judge others for being gay, and they do not have the right. If you are not hurting someone, love between consenting adults is ok if you ask me. I am a Christian, not a judge, you are how God made you, do not try to fight who you are, it will drive you crazy. Peace be with you.

Being gay, like all other sins requires for you to transform your mind like it stated in Romans 12:1,2.

You have to unlearn the attraction to men and learn to become attracted to females. I'm sure you're already attracted to females, you just need to build on that.

The first place to start is by getting into the Word of God. By building your relationship with God, you will indirectly start to become holy and thus start to give up some sins in your life.

Certain sins will be more difficult than others for each individual. For example, alcoholics would have a harder time to give up drinking than a non-alcoholic.

Everyone deals with lust, just at different levels. Your should find good Christian friends who can help you overcome this. There's nothing more powerful than Christian brothers and sisters who edify one another in Christ's love. With that help, you can overcome anything.

You are not the first Christian to struggle with this. First you must recognize it for exactly what it is, temptation from the enemy -Satan. The only way to fight Satan is through regular prayer and the Word of God, which is the Sword of the Spirit. Don't try to fight this on your own. Ask God to help you through the Holy Spirit. Prayer and fasting may be necessary for this. Regular Bible reading/meditation is a must. Go to the Lord with this and honestly pour out your heart to Him. He will listen and answer your prayer. Put on the whole armour of God -Eph. 6. Get to a Bible teaching church. Make sure that the pastor is trustworthy to keep silent and not be judgemental. There are many excellent churches like this. I'm biased towards The Salvation Army, but you can seek out one that suits you, if you prefer. Seek the prayer support of a pastor you can completely trust. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. I have said a prayer for you, my friend. Don't give up. Remember, it isn't a sin to be tempted, only to yield to that temptation. God bless and be strong in the strength of the Lord. Don't listen to those who state you are born gay or that this is a normal, acceptable lifestyle. As a Christian you know that's not so. Homosexuality is an abomination, you know that. It is a chosen lifestyle by those in rebellion against God and they will have to answer for it. It is impossible to be a Christian while simultaneously living a wilfully sinful lifestyle, you know that too. Surround yourself with Bible believing Christians and ask them to pray for you constantly. There is no need to be explicit in your prayer request to them. True Brothers and Sisters won't even ask, they'll simply pray that the Lord will meet your needs, whatever they are. Homosexuality is of the devil, regardless of what others may think, say or believe about it. I think you know that too. We are at war against Satan and his demons, don't ever forget that. Satan won't be happy to lose someone from his enslavement -especially enslavement to such a sin as homosexuality. Trust the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

First of all I commend you for being devoted to living according to the word of God and not the lusts of the flesh. I can only say to take those thoughts captive to Christ, and ask Him to keep your mind and heart pure. I pray that Jesus will help you walk a path of righteousness and purity, and that He will reward you for your desire to live a holy life with the grace and courage to do so.

You can contact Fr. David Kyle Foster at "Mastering Life Ministries" - he struggled once just as you do... and came out of the "gay" lifestyle to be a powerful man of God.

Dr. David Kyle Foster, is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M-Div) and Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (D-Min). Before his salvation in 1980, he lived a double life as both male prostitute and successful film actor in Hollywood, and for one year, was a member of the "Divine Light Mission" cult. It was out of that experience that God saved him.

After seminary, David served as the Vice President of the International Broadcasting Network in Denver, Co. while hosting a network radio program entitled, "Believer's Choice: A Christian Perspective on the Movies". He has also served with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Youth With A Mission and the Bible Institute of Hawaii.David founded "Mastering Life Ministries" in 1987 and has since traveled to four continents, teaching and ministering God's saving and healing truth to both the lost and the Church. He has written the book, SEXUAL HEALING: God's Plan for the Sanctification of Broken Lives and spends much of his time teaching and lecturing in churches, schools and ministries. The videotaped version of his book, "SEXUAL HEALING" won an "Angel Award" for 1996.

David is also the host of the "Angel Award" and "Covenant Award" winning radio program - "Mastering Life" which began in 1994 as a 15-minute daily program on WJIR in Key West, Fl. In June of 1995 a Christian foundation provided the means for "Mastering Life" to become a 30-minute weekly program and to be delivered for the next 15 months over the "Focus on the Family Satellite Network".

David serves as Canon at the Church of the Messiah in Jacksonville, Florida, which is the cathedral church for the Southeast United States in the International Communion of Charismatic Episcopal Churches.

Do yourself the biggest favor you can ever do! Read his books. Go meet him at his seminars. His story is amazing and uplifting.

And pray.

Peace be with you

A young christian man can't. Remember that everything done in the mind IS done. Every thought you have is seen by God. Jesus said that Himself.

Handle it the same way you would any temptation- pray for strength and resolve not to do it. God never sends you temptations greater than you can handle. Be praying for you, God bless.

Yours is a very good question. I highly recommend you visit Dr. James Dobson's website. He has worked with many people who have overcome their homosexual desires and went on to live happy, fullfilled lives.

I will pray for you.

how do straight people who wish to lead a pure life until married handle their lust ?
control ...
but sadly they are allowed to let go of that control once married ...
gay people on the other hand do not have that privilege
i am not Christian but please dont deny who you are ....
I am sure you know this is natural for you and not in any way from Satan as some will have you believe...
consider what you are ... who you are ... and whether your beliefs fit with that
not the other way around
much love to you xx
