The Salvation Army always accepts donations and 100 percent goes to where it's needed. During this time of year they have the Christmas kettles in malls and near liquor stores, or you could contact any Salvation Army Corps or their Public Relations offices for details and more information. God bless

Since I work for the Navy, we get the opportunity to donate once a year to a charity - there is a program called Combined Federal Campaign - and it lists HUNDREDS of charities AND how much of your money goes towards the charity and how much goes towards the administrative costs of running the charity (some are higher than others). Try the websites I have attached. Do a search on your state and then area and there should be a link that will take you to the CFC brochure (which has the websites of most of the charities) you can go from there to find the one(s) that you want to donate to. Your locale Children's Hospital is a good one as well as your SPCA.

Best of luck and thanks for thinking of others
