It's not a sin. Enjoy yourself. Just don't get too obsessed with it. All things in balance.

This question is beyond funny to me, only because this has been the topic of conversation lately for my husband and I... Only because some Jehovah Witnesses came to our house the other day and handed us a book that is suppose to teach us how to bring our kids up the "right" way... Well i am Full Gospel so i didn't really take into consideration what they were saying nor did i care but i decided to glance through there book anyways... Well there was this long story in there and the head line in bold at the top of the page said Masturbation, something you've done your whole life, but God will heal you from this... I started laughing, because they were treating and talking about it like it's some kind of sickness... Anyways to answer your question, No i do not think that it is a sin... Why would it be? I think that the whole entire world does it, or has done it everyone is just ashamed to admit it for some unknown reason... I have to say though that i don't do it alone usually with my husband... But don't hit the alter unless you feel conviction..

Because god didnt make it feel good, god made nothing, god doesnt exist, hes a creation of Conformists who feel bad about themselfes and cant get by so they have someone to blame and turn to. Also, like many above me said, masturbation is not a sin, it says so no where in the bible which is accordng to "god" the only source of religious knowledge.

There's nothing wrong with masturbating.
It's a perfectly natural and normal outlet for sexual feelings. EVERY man does it or has done it -- every single one. Yes, even your pastor or preacher or priest. Guaranteed.
Some people will try to make you feel bad about it and call it a "sin." They base this on a biblical passage that says it's wrong to "spill your seed." Nonsense. As long as masturbating doesn't keep you from having real relationships with real sex partners, it's not harmful in any way, and is in fact HEALTHY and good.
There's no justification for it being a "sin," and there's nothing wrong with it. Go for it.

Religious leaders are the ones saying that masturbation is a sin. Why do only religious people say it's a sin?

Although some preach that masturbation is a sin - it is not.
God made us as we are, and if you believe in a loving god, then what we are, and how we respond to the world must be good.
Only a malevolent god would make us in such a way that our own bodies would be rigged with sinful temptations.
If one believes that bible, then one must accept that God made us in His image. One must also accept that God is perfect.
Logically then, God would also feel and express both agape (brotherly/sisterly friendship love - platonic love) as well as eros (erotic love) - where we derive sexual pleasure.
The logical inference therefore is that God gave us sexually for it to be enjoyed in all its forms.
All of the textual material claiming that elements of sexuality (lust, masturbation, etc) were primarily written during Medieval times, by men, trying to constrain women in particular, and the lower classes (serfs) under control.
If you believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ, no where does Jesus condemn masturbation.

Well, I'm sure God prefer for you to do it to the opposite sex than by yourself.
Anyway, masturbation used to be named Onanism, Onanism was named after Onan, a son of Judah. Though what Onan did was quite different than Onanism, Onan refused to have his descendants become his dead brother's descendants, so he refused to put his 'seed' into his dead brother's wife.
He goes against the law that ordered him to provide descendants to his dead brother, and then he died.

It's not a sin. It's natural. The church dogooders are the ones that say it/s a sin. Ask them where does it say that in the bible. Go for it. !
