Praying for your enemies often turns them into friends - not immediately, but after a while. And grow up , like the other guy said, this is not a war territory here. We are all in one boat.
Finding out what the deal is and then making amends to the enemy afterwards could be a solution too.
Life is not long enough to waste some of it being afraid of meeting 'enemies' in the street.

well i go through this on a daily baciss and the best thing to do especially if ur with a couple of ur mates or on ur own(im talking from my own experiance so listen to what i say)i go out alot and always end up seen a group of lads from other areas who wanna do me and my mates in but if u do this u will be fine me and 3of my mates were out afew days ago and there was a group of about 14 lads but there are always the ones in any group who think they are the hardest so pick those twats out of the group and knock them the **** out and usually the rest of the group are just followers and will back of or run off, only do this if u have the balls if u know what i mean coz if u just try it and not have the balls then u will get fucked up,if the rest dont back of then just have a great fight and have fun,but trust if u take out the leaders first the rest will back off!!!!!!oh and by the way to all those of u who say just turn and walk the other way yea sure do that if u wanna end up with a knife getting stuck in ur side that happend to me so now if i know some1 is going to do something to me then i always make the first move and take them out first!!!!but if u r a young kid then dont bother doing what i say if u cant actually look after urself...just run ***** run!!!!!!!!

I think the correct way to deal with meeting enemies, or indeed anyone you do not consider a friend and do not want to associate with, is to act as if they were strangers.
Just treat them as you would a total stranger - so don't be rude. The aim of this strategy is to avoid any unpleasant situations.

Smile and "kill them with Kindness". I don't have enemies per say. I know I have people that we don't see eye to eye, and that is fine as we are entitled to our own opinions. I will always smile at everyone and say hello even to those I do not care for. Sometimes, for those people, I put a little more enthusiasm into it. It makes me laugh to see their shocked expressions.

It depends on what street it is, how you got to be enemies, and who else is there. Requires a lot of experience and thought. Hard to answer in a place like this.
But I like what Mr. Miagi says in "Karate Kid." He is giving the young boy his first lessons in fighting technique, and says, "Best way avoid punch: Be somewhere else."

A head nod out of respect and a piercing gaze. Nothing else.
He already knows he's an enemy.

Assassination comes to mind.
But seriously: enemies? What, are you North Korea or Syria or something?? Kids don't have enemies, they have assholes they don't get along with.

best weapon is to smile at them. Makes them wonder. A sophiscated fighter starts fighting from the head. Not headbutt!
