1 1/2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash of salt
3/4 cup water
2 cups milk
Lightly sweetened whipped cream
Cinnamon sticks for garnish and stirring (optional)
1. Combine chocolate, sugar, coffee, cinnamon, salt and water in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring constantly for 4 minutes.
2. Stir in milk, heat through but do not boil. Remove from heat and whip chocolate mixture with a wire whisk until foamy.
3. Pour into mugs, top with whipped cream and place cinnamon stick
in cups for garnish, if desired.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.

1 pinch chili powder
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup boiling water
DIRECTIONS
In a large mug, mix the hot chocolate mix, chocolate syrup, cinnamon, and chili powder. Pour in the milk. Add the boiling water and stir.

1 quart milk
7 ounces mexican chocolate
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
chili powder (optional)
Cut the chocolate into small pieces.
In a saucepan, bring the milk to a boil and then add the chocolate.
After the chocolate is incorporated, add the cinnamon, vanilla, chili powder and salt.
Simmer for 10 minutes and then whisk briskly to a foam right before serving.
Divide evenly into 4 cups and serve.

Your local grocery store should have a mix. I know of one in a hexagonal cylinder, like a Frangos chocolates box but it is orange and red. They come in chocolate discs spiced with cinnamon, etc. You melt it into milk or something. Check the "Ethnic Foods Section" or the Hot Cocoa/Coffee/Tea section.
