In my opionion, no, age does not matter to you, only to everyone around you who wants to put you down, and has to put their nose in. I am 20, and my husband is 36, we have a 2 month old son. We got together when I was 17, married when I was 18. When I was your age I was also dating men older than me, by a lot more than 3 years. My mother was the only person who had to be a critic about it. The only way it will become a problem legally, is if someone close to you does not like it, and decides to make it a legal issue. Just be careful about his incentives at his age, in case they are not the same as your own.

My husband is 28 and I'm 24... but we started dating about 3 yrs ago...
Also- my brother is 18 and his girlfriend is 16... it's a difficult relationship because he's in college and she's in high school... they've broken up and gone back together several times now. It's hard when you are both at different points in your life. For myself- my husband and I were both in college. It's easier when you are in the same location, have the same goals, etc. So be careful- I just worry he'd try to take advantage of you. Girls are also more mature than guys-takes them longer to settle down.

If you are worried about it, then maybe there is... if he seems a lot more mature that you, then yes, there is.... and if he ever wants you to do something you don't want to, then there definitely is!
However, if you feel like you are on the same emotional level as this boy, and you are definitely not rushing into anything, then no, there isn't.
According to the law of course, it is illegal for you to have sex. So it is definitely worth waiting til you are sure you are ready, and advisable to wait until you are at least 16.
Go out for a while and see how things go. x

I have a sixteen year old daughter and at fifteen I would not have been happy to have her dating a eighteen year old, but I would have allowed it under certain circumstances. As long as the boy promised he would not have sex with you until you are of age I would allow you to date. Say go on dates and the like, but no sex. It is against the law for a fifteen year old to have sex with an eighteen year old.If you abided by the rule things would go smooth.

If you are not having sex, then no. It is not illegal for the two of you to date; however, it would be illegal for the two of you to have sex. Are you both still in high school? If he's in colleg already it may be time to call it quits on the relationship...he's entering a very different time in his life and it would be hard to continue dating. If you are both in high school then I don't see a problem with it.

What ever your mom has said is probably true and u should listen to family not what people on her say, there are laws in YOUR state that may allow hI'm to be jailed for being with u, im guessing that your mom has her own advise for u and i suggest u take it she really would Know what is best for u. good luck! :)

end it now. i'm 15 and i dated a 19 year old. the biggest mistake i could have ever made. all he wanted was sex..guys are pigs. so yeah..prob not a good idea. and considering it's illegal to do anything..yeah just dont.

Right now you are a minor to him so it is illegal for him to do anything to you.
Dont be an idiot, it wont work out so dont get into anything serious. You probably know what he is after anyways.
