I have wavy hair. (Naturally). I have long hair, and I flat iron it everyday. It takes me forever. I have heard great things about the Japanese relaxer. I want to know if you guys think I should do it.
Here are questions I need you guys to answer. (PLEASE!)
1) If I do relax it, will my hair break off, or fall off? (Once I relax it, I'm going to continue to get touch ups, when needed!
2) Will I lose my hair?
PLEASE HELP!
ALL INFORMATION NEEDED!
Please and thank you!
(By the way, I'm going to,and always will be getting it done be a professional)

If your hair isn't real thick and hard to manager then I wouldn't advise getting a relaxer.
1) if not taken care of hair will brake off.
2) you wont lose you hair (that will only happen if the relaxer is too strong or not done properly) but if you ever decide that you dont want the relaxer you will have to cut it.
In addition: you will stilll have to flat iron you hair (just not as often) and when your root start to show you hair will be even harder to manage
If your hair is just wavy then you should just learn how to wrap your hair. If you warp your hair at night and tie it down with a scarf your hair will still be straigh in the morning when you comb it down. Or just ware you hair wavy because it harder and more time consuming to keep relaxed hair heathy.

OKAAAAAAAY!
I don't know anything about relaxers but I can tell you this:
There are certain things you can and cannont do once you have relaxed your hair. (To your hair that is)
I have naturally curly hair too but I would NEVER do such a thing. Heres why, once you do it, the only way your hair will go back to being curly is if you let the part grow out that has already been treated. If you have long hair like me, you will be waiting for a long time for it grow out and then you will probably have to end up cutting off the part that has been relaxed just to maintain even and healthy hair.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

I would get the normal relaxer instead of the Japanese. I've seen VERY bad results from the Japanese (like whole sections of hair breaking near the roots and not growing back for months). I get the normal relaxer on my hair and it works great.

Have a stylist that you trust suggest a chemical that will agree with your hair type, Then have her/him only relax a small section of your hair. Then take care of it ( moisturize) and see what happens. If it is still there in about a month, I think it might be safe for your whole head.

I use to relax my hair occasionally and it did not damage it, and yes you will need to touch it up, but if you are always going to do it then it will do alot of damage to your hair and roots might fall out.

i wouldn't do it, that stuff messes up your hair permanently, it burns your scalp, when the new hair is coming in it looks retarded....
