Relax and try a pacifier if she will accept it (not always)

She's not going to swallow it if that's what you're worried about. Actually the American Academy of Pediatrics now recommend that when you put your baby to sleep, that not only are they Alone, on their Backs, and in their own Crib (ABC), but that you give them a pacifier as well, as the risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) may be less common in babies who use a pacifier while sleeping. If the pacifier falls out while she's sleeping though, don't attempt to put it back in her mouth. If she won't take a pacifier, maybe the sucking motion will still be useful for her in that aspect. If it really worries you that much of course bring it up with your doctor, they can help put your mind at ease.

Lots of babies do this, don't worry. It is just a self soothing technique that my pediatrician said a lot of babies start while they are in the womb. Good luck with your sweet pea, they never stop amazing you!
