My dear Ling.

It is of utmost importance that the you differentiate the present Muslim world state of affairs, the Arabs and true Islam.

There are far too much ignorance and arrogance among present-day Muslims, especially those who hog the current headlines of today. The so-called terrorists, the violent rioters and everything that is played up by the media is not necessarily Islamic.
Those stories of beleagured Muslim women almost always happen among tribal societies of paternalistic Eastern cultures who either know nothing about the extensive Islamic legal jurisprudence or are completely ignorant about the rights of women in Islam; let alone told from the discriminatory and biased perspectives of the West.

Read about it from the horse's mouth below and then decide for yourself. There are some interesting articles below which you might find useful and then don't let nobody fool you further.

says thay have the right to teach the children of the future. What job could possibly be more important than that. The right to have careers and put those and desire for power above those more important tasks is discouraged. Does the result of a nation abandoning these principles in favor of women having careers and power seem to you to have produced a nation of stability where people have good health care and children not exposed to abuse and fetuses losing value being given equal weight in right to life, show you what is truely valuable in a society or are you blind to decadance like many of your sisters.

Careeers and power are not all they have been cracked up to be by selfserving angry women.

stay tuned for further updates while women attain power, children are tried for murder at younger ages and sex slavery proliferates because men's sex drives go unmet in the home. Oh yes lets give women two votes for every one a man gets so we can get this slow torture over with sooner.

Islam when it came about actually gave rights to women. However it is outdated compared to modern rights. It says a lot of things: giving them rights to vote, how to dress, all the way to stupid things like this:

“Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because men spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those among you who fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” Sura 4:34

It comes down to how different groups intrepid there faith. In most countries where islam is the ruling authority women have far less rights then men. Female genital mutilation and honor killing are acceptable. In iran it is illegal for a woman to sit down and have dinner with a male that is not her husband. I think Islam is in general is degrading to women. I suggest reading the Koran and judging for your self. To me its just a fairy tale.

1. When a woman observes the five time of prayers, fasts during Ramadan, preserves her chastity, and obeys her husband, she may enter by any of the gates of paradise she wishes.
(Abu Nu'aim).

(Tirmidhi).

4. Young men, those of you who can support a wife should marry, for it keeps you from looking at strange women and preserves you from immorality, but those who cannot, should devote themselves to fasting, for it is a means of suppressing sexual desire.

5. The whole world is to be enjoyed, but the best thing in the world is a pious woman.

(Ibn Majah.)

nothing. women are not part of the equation. PS. that is partially what all the fuss is about with Taliban and other ethnic groups -- they do not want to give up "what is theirs" (male rights) and share it with the others (women's rights). What could be wrong in sending girls to study, to read and write etc. etc. Whether the west could institute its own institution is not the issue -- the problem lies within those societies themselves -- with help from the international women hood i.e.women federations etc. etc. they should re.establish their rights within that culture. Enough was not said but I let it go to those whose specialty is to find a practical solution to the dilemma.

They set this all up to show us the wonderful priviledges that the women have in the Islamic religion. I think that is great that you have so many priviledges. I am so empressed.
I just have one question, if it is so wonderful for you and you love it so much than why are the American soldiers over there dieing to remove this tranical government that opresses women.
I say bring home the soldiers and let them fight there own battles.
they do not feel opressed they love getting hit with sticks and stuff. So get out of there and leave them alone. We all felt so sorry for them. The opression the cruelty and they have told us in on uncertain terms we are Whores and infidels for not wearing a burka and they love wearing one. Get out of there and leave them alone.
