Well here goes, we have 2 mastiffs, 1 tree 7 feet tall ripped out of the ground, 1- 6 foot arborvitae chewed down to twig size, 2 hoses and 1 hose reel, and that's just outside. 2 cell phones 3 remotes 2 house phones 4 throw pillows dozens of towels, socks approaching 50 i would guess. 3 walls of drywall in our laundry room, some of the holes 3 feet in diameter 5 pairs of shoes and they are only 3 years old. having said that, they have never chewed on any furniture in our home which is oak everything. yet after all this destruction these are by far the most loving loyal breed of dog we have ever owned.

I am sorry about your sock, I am sure your dog did not intend to take away something that you cherish. When we adopted our dog, he was an adult. We left him in a crate during the day but he completely ruined it and the carpet is was on. So then we put him in the finished basement when we were gone, and he dug a hole through the wall. He also kept injuring himself while doing this. He was such a bad dog when we first got him, but it was more like he had a bad case of separation anxiety. We spent a lot of time working with him and he is better now. He is a food stealer now though, Submarine sandwiches are his favorite. He stole my father in law's sub right out of the plastic bag it was wrapped in. He is my baby though, I would not trade him in for anything!!!

Yes. My stupid dog has chewed on several things I hold (or held) dear. I didn't know he could reach through the bars of his crate and grab things until the day I found my great grandma's throw blanket torn off the bed and chewed up halfway inside his crate. Stupid dog. I was so mad. Espically since he has a bunch of fun chew toys in his crate already.

Mine chewed up a memory card for a digital camera the other day. My bf should have known better than to leave it on the floor when he noticed he had knocked it off his desk. She has also destroyed my favorite pair of slippers and chewed a corner of the baby book of my daughter.

Well it is partially your fault, because you left the socks where he can get at them, and it is no big secret that dogs love to chew on things, especially young dogs or when they are left alone. You should be a better pet owner.

My old dog, when feeling like no one was paying attention to him, would go and get stuffed animals out of my room (I was a teenager at the time). He would only chew them until I noticed and then he would bring them to me.
I have a dog now that will pull things out of the sink and chew them. I buy tupperware like it's going out of style because I live with boys who can't seem to wash dishes when they use them.
And she chewed to remote....it was an emotional time for the men in my house. It was late at night and nothing was open to go buy a new one...LOL!! They had to get up to change the channel... hehehe!!

And meanwhile, ascertain your fencing/gates and so on are sufficient, so what occurred right here won't be able to ensue returned. i won't be able to think of how the driving force of the motor vehicle might desire to be feeling having killed your dogs. i'm sorry on your loss of course, yet might additionally urge you to no longer purchase your next domestic dog till he/she is a minimum of 8 weeks.

When my son was little he left his hoodie outside and the dogs chewed holes in it. It was a custom hoodie that I made for him. I was so upset mostly because my son was upset. He really loved that hoodie. He loved the dog more and forgave the dog. So, I did too.
