Had someone that at one time where involed with a very long time ago, out of the blue send you a letter just to say hi and to see how you are doing? should you responed to the letter or ignore it? why or why not?

Yes, and depending on the situation of how you became uninvolved, respond politely. If it was a good thing and you care, then respond.
Maybe this person is fishing for information to see if you are single.

Sure, but usually if someone contacts you out of the blue they may be searching for something , maybe the connection you used to have or just the laughs you had together. If you have moved past this rekindling nicely let them know and then cut it off. If not maybe it's something you too have been waiting for!

Say Not really coz without you around. If you like her.

respond but if you are in a relationship make clear in a nice way we all have resons why we look up old loves. but if you a single and if the first time it didnt end to badly and if you ever wounder what if now would be the best chance best of luck
