scam. if you really won then it would be free. tell them you'll sign a notarized note of promise to pay them when you get paid.

It sounds like a scam. Ask the U.S. Postal Service. Also ask the Better Business Bureau. Maybe there is a Dept. of Consumer Fraud in your state. If so, ask them, too.

Don't send the $27.00. That's just a start. They'll ask for more real soon.

It's a scam. Organizations don't just award people $47,800 unless you've at least entered something. The fact that they want money from you is only proof.

In 2001 I won $2,001 from Pepsi for a sweepstakes I entered online. I was only asked to send them a form, not send them any money.

You should never have to pay money to collect winnings of any sort. If they ask you to, even if they send you a check to reimburse you for that payment, it's still a scam.

SCAM! All of these are scams. This is a new phish game. The rub here is it is only asking for a small amount to secure your "Prize". Since it is so cheap more people will be willing to give it a shot. This scam works on volume vs. finding one BIG sucker it looks for many small ones.

It's a scam believe me. Just think of how many people they probably sent that to and if all of them sent $27.00, how much money they could make??

You don't have to pay any processing fee to collect winnings -- this is a scam. If enough people pay $27, they'll be the ones with $47,800 -- not you.

SCAM!!! This is only a way to get your credit card information so they can charge it up to the hilt. Another person answered you saying you don't get anything for free. This is definitely one of them.

There is no get rich quick scheme. No one is going to give a lot of money way for a little.
