Why or why not?

Just so you all know what I believe:

As a Catholic Christian, I believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man. 100% God and 100% man. He is God incarnate. He is the same God as the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is a divine person with 2 natures: human and divine.

Yes, He is God.

Those that say He is the "Son of God" but not God Himself miss the point entirely of what it meant to be the "Son" of someone in Jesus' time and culture.

To be someone's son was to have the same power, authority, and presitige.

Jesus is called both the "Son of Man" and the "Son of God" because He is both fully Man and fully God.

His diety is an essential Christian doctrine and is part of the Trinity (one God eternally existant in Three Persons, Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit).

If Jesus was a God, why did he command his people to worship ''The Father" ? Why did he eat and drink and sleep to stay alive?? Why did an exalted God who created the entire universe and formulated the laws of physics and the rest take the trouble to come down to earth to show people the Right way? If God has no weaknesses...why did He have a son? because a son is a father's weakness. Most people have mistaken that God loves us the way a mother loves her son or the way devoted husband loves his wife. They do not understand that a God is limitless....the same way He created the law of gravitation...He also created the emotion we call love. It is a human emotion and a God is free from all His creations. Free of needs, rich in bounty. We, His creations, stand in need of Him....whereas He has no need for us. That is what the essence of worship means. If you ask a child...which God sounds more powerful...a God that has a son and loves his creations like a mother or a God that is omnipotent..is One...is far too exalted to appear on the earth...was neither born nor did he give birth to....the obvious answer would be the latter. If God would establish the criteria of Right and wrong then He would send revelations and messengers among His creations.....its common sense...do not believe what YOU want to believe.....God does not need us....we need Him.....

YES. Jesus is God, God is Jesus, The Holy Spirit is God, and all other ways of putting it. They are all three the same thing. Kind of a hard subject to make sense of, if you look up the Divine Trinity, i think, there should be a better explanantion.

Jesus is God's Son. Basically they are one in the same, have you ever heard of the holy trinity? The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? That's how it goes. Jesus was the only PERFECT human to walk this earth, God did that so that one day he would be crucified and die as a "payment" for our sins so we wouldn't have to go to hell when we die since we as humans are imperfect.

I pretty much agree with you. Jesus is the Son of God part of the Holy Trinity which is God and is therefore God.

Jesue is the son of God... God is his father... He's God in the father, God in the Son and God in the Holy Ghost... None of these are one without the other...

Yes and no. That's the mystery of the Trinity. All creation has been created by God but Jesus was different. He was begotten, actually made from God. That means that although he is a distinct person he is in God and is God.

Yes Jesus is God....

Hebrew 1:5-14

God's Son Is Greater than Angels

5God has never said

to any of the angels,

"You are my Son, because today

I have become your Father!"

Neither has God said

to any of them,

"I will be his Father,

and he will be my Son!"

6When God brings his first-born Son [b] into the world, he commands all of his angels to worship him. 7And when God speaks about the angels, he says,

"I change my angels into wind

and my servants

into flaming fire."

8 But God says about his Son,

"You are God,

and you will rule

as King forever!

Your [c] royal power brings about justice.

9You loved justice

and hated evil,

and so I, your God,

have chosen you.

I appointed you

and made you happier

than any of your friends."

10The Scriptures also say,

"In the beginning, Lord,

you were the one

who laid the foundation

of the earth

and created the heavens.

11They will all disappear

and wear out like clothes,

but you will last forever.

12You will roll them up

like a robe

and change them

like a garment.

But you are always the same,

and you will live forever."

13God never said to any

of the angels,

"Sit at my right side

until I make your enemies

into a footstool for you!"

14 Angels are merely spirits sent to serve people who are going to be saved.

Jesus Christ is the son of God. who was Jesus Christ praying to? you can not pray to yourself. Jesus said I can not do anything except what the Father tells me to do, so Jesus is not God. Jesus Christ is seating at the right hand of God Almighty.
