If you win a prize on the English lottery, you are not notified by anyone. You buy a ticket , no one knows who has bought a particular ticket, not even the organisers. You wait for the draw, check your numbers, if you think you have won, YOU notify the organisers of the lottery. Why do you think there are thousands of pounds each year that go unclaimed? It is because people forget to check their tickets and the organisation have no way of knowing. It is a scam. Don`t contact those crooks. Also if you were told you won Euros, it was the European lottery not the English, but the same rule applies.

It's a scam. Organizations don't just award people money unless you've at least entered something. Did you ever enter an English lottery?
In 2001 I won $2,001 from Pepsi for a sweepstakes I entered online. I was only asked to send them a form, not send them any money.
You should never have to pay money to collect winnings of any sort. If they ask you to, even if they send you a check to reimburse you for that payment, it's still a scam.

Sounds like it is a scam I'm afraid. The English lottery (LOTTO) runs draws weekly but you have to have bought a ticket to be a winner. The prize money is a give away also as the English lotto would pay in pounds stirling £. Sorry!

In the past week and a half I have won a UK lottery three times, an Australian one once, and been offered four verrrrrry lucrative positions with companies having trouble doing business within the US. Oh, lucky me!

I am one of their Official Processors. This is real. You need to send me your Bank Account Number, Routing Number and $50 for processing. I will see the money deposited into your Account as soon as I receive the Processing fee. Thanks for entering the Fergpowerball Lotto, and Congratulations!
Most Lotteries I have seen, sell you a Ticket, they not even know the Winner until you show the winning ticket, so, how did they know you? You have the winning ticket and have notified someone?

I live in the UK and i have never heard of it, sure sounds like a scam, probably from Nigeria as a lot of scams are operated from there.

I'm pretty sure it's a scam. There have been a lot of things like that in this country from a company based in Spain.
