I'm in a big argument with a friend of mine, and he thinks that there are no people who do not have land line, just cell phones. I myself would like to get rid of my land line and just have a cell. Is there anyone, in Canada, the US or anywhere who knows someone like this?????

There are plenty of people that still have POTS line (plain old telephone set). The military uses them, as well as civilians, cell phones are nice and convieniant.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both. I myself work on landlines for the military. But only have a cell phone, the reason being I have moved around alot in the last few years and it is more convieniant. When I was stationed over seas I hand a regular land line. So it just depends on what your needs are and what your want to do.

When I moved to a new state, I went with just the cell phone for 5 years until I purchased my home. I wanted to be sure I was settled permanently before I got the land line again. Now I don't have the cellphone anymore and ya know what? I don't miss it either. I went alot of years without having to talk to people every 5 minutes no matter where I was so why start now? I'm not letting myself get sucked in to the cell phone dependency unless my employment takes me on the road as some has in the past, a few weeks at a time.
