if you jumped from the top, yes. if you jumped from the 1-4 story, no. And, there is no water around the empire state bulding unless they installed a pool...
Also, if you dropped a marshmallow off the TOP of the Empire State Building, would you die?
Yes, because of the speed and impact.
Hard to believe, huh?

Depends on how you dive.
Pencil Dive - Death
Jack Knife - Death
At first i didn't think you would die by a pencil dive, but after some thought, you would. At first, if it was a pool, then you would die by impact on the floor. But if it was hella deep, then you would still die, because you would go so deep, your brains burst and get crushed by pressure. If you don't die by that, then you wouldn't make it to the top with the amount of air you had. You would drown and die....

YES!
hitting the water from such a height would be similar to hitting the ground
don't get me started on the surface tension of the water and the physics of it all, just take my word for it
or check out the Mythbusters
they tested it.

Picture this, as you fall, you continue to accelerate until you reach what is called terminal velocity, something above 100mph. As you decelerate in the water, you go from 100mph+ to stopprd within about 15 feet.
Essentially, you would be liquid due to deceleration trauma, so, YES you would die.

Water may be soft when you're swimming around in it my good sir but when you're falling from that hieght? Hell no. It would break and crush most, if not all, of your bones and organs. And if, by some "miracle", you didn't die from that, you would either die of drowning or shock. Good luck with that though. Let me know how it turns out.

yes. There is a terminal height for jumping into water. I think it is around 200 ft.

Yes you would die by drowning or the impact of you crashing into the water. (If u fall into the water from a great height, doesn't it hurt?; it's impact.)
