Can you lose weight quickly by not eating? i know it lowers metabolism but thats not the issue how fast will fasting take weight off????? How long before hunger subsides???

The weight will not go away quickly, and the first weight to go will actually be muscle, making you weak. It is much faster to do something such as diet & excersize, safer too.

Stop eating all together and your body will shut down as a defense mechanism so you may lose a few pounds but will gain it back as soon as you start to eat again plus some more. Best way to lose is to exercise and cut out the fat, especially that which is in the rich meats you eat, the red meats especially as well as the organ meats etc. Best diet is eat only fruits vegetables and nuts in as raw a condition as you can do it. Get some help from a vegetarian if you need to as they can tell you a lot about nutrition. You can eat some legumes, such as beans, lentils, etc., but that is your protein that you would normally get from your meats, which is really a lot better than eating meat too. If you stick to this diet for the rest of your life and add a bit of exercise to it daily, you will live much longer and get down to the weight you want without trouble or a lot of starvation and danger. Also you can eat all y ou want of the raw veggies and fruits as you can't get too much of them as they have all the fiber and will fill you up before you ever could get too much.

Try this it was invented by a dietitian for obese people who need an operation in two weeks time.
There is enough for one week so freeze half freshly made to last the week.
I cheated and did it for a whole month every other month went from a 40in waist to a 32in without to much effort.

Operation Soup

Ingredients.

3 large onions
1 large or two small green peppers
1 bunch of celery
½ head of green cabbage
1 leek
2 tin chopped tomatoes
1 packet of French onion soup (any brand)
3 vegetable stock cubes (I use oxo)

Cut all vegetables into bite size pieces if your not going to liquidize.
Place all in a large pot add enough water to cover.
Simmer until vegetables are cooked add more water if necessary.

NOTE
To be eaten as a two meal replacement (largest and the smallest).
You can still have a light lunch or light evening meal.
Should not exceed 5 days at a time and 10 days a month.
You will pass more water so make sure you keep up your water intake.

Your metabolism doesn't shut down.

If it did how would gastric bypass patients lose so quickly on 500 calories a day after surgery? Why did the Concentration Camp victims get so skinny so fast? How do people starve to skin & bone?

For a weight loss estimate mutliply your current weight by 12 and divide into 3500. This is how much weight you'll lose a day.

i didnt quite fast but i ate VERY VERY little for a little over a week and lost quite a few, then i decided that anorexia wasnt for me (lol) so i wanted to just continue eating how i had been before, but i wasnt anywhere near as hungry, i eat way less now, and im still losing weight. im not too sure why...maybe i should ask. but i guess im glad i did it in the first place. but thats just my case! so if you try it and end up gaining weight afterwards dont blame me.

the first day was VERY tough but the next evening i felt just fine.

your body will actually not adjust to that, and you will lose weight really slowly. If you are going to fast, try doing it with grapefruit. Drink only grapefruit juice and eat only grapefruits (if you want you can throw in the occassional orange). You'll lose a few pounds in a week, but don't go longer than that.

well if u need to lose a lot of pounds do the watermelon diet and i know someone who lost 100 pounds off of it

not eating doesnt make you skinny for to lokng it makes ur body bigger cuz it sends out fat.
