Whether or not it is sinful is of no consequence to me, burt the Bible passages interest me so I will try to give my perspective on them (and who's to say I have the correct persepctive anyway) 1 - Adultery is sex outside of marriage, right? Fantasizing about something and wanting it to happen are two different things. But regardless, this is not a teaching against masturbation. Jesus is saying that adulterous thoughts are sinful, not masturbation. Masturbating whilst fantasing about your partner should be okay then. 2 - I don't see how this relates to masturbation, other than it sounding a bit like "mastered". This passage could equally mean that men shouldn't have a boss at work, take part in competitive sports or allow the police to arrest them for a crime. 3 - For this teaching to fit masturbation you would first have to assume it is immoral. So you can't use this passage to prove it is in fact immoral. If I assumed that having tattoos, a shave, a haircut, vaccinations or even a wash were sinful then this passgae could be used to "prove" that claim. 4 - See Q 3 for the excact same response, only this passage is even more open. I could use this to prove that singing or laughing was immoral just by claiming it was so and then pointing to this passage, Circular. 5 - Again. As per 3 & 4 6 - Again as per 3, 4 & 5. If I claim that having sex with my wife was sexually immoral I could use this passage to claim it was so. This passage does not say that sex with my wife is immoral nor does it mention masturbartion. (7) -In short yes, it's okay according to the bible. According to me masturbation is always okay.
