if its a single piece it could be worth a lot
but also realize it will be very expensive to send to someone because of the weight and size (girth of package)

Check out eBay, search for petrified wood

lapidary dealers deal in minerals and petrified wood, currently there isa 10-lb piece being auctioned at 100$

if there is a lapidary dealer in your area maybe they can tell you if its extraordianry or not

Contact a Gemstone shop or geological fossil shop

There are plenty of such places on the internet

Be careful with it though, Its illegal to collect it anymore, so you may need to be able to document your provenence.
