I've heard the worst pain of all is "shingles" pain (an inflamed nerve tract running across your body). This was from a lecture at school, apparently it was a poll. Labor placed second.

I gave birth to my first baby 9 weeks ago. I didnt have pain in legs or back but it was way worse than period pain! Same sort of cramping pain but all over the abdomen, not just one little area. I personally found it so overwhelming that it was all i could think about, i couldnt hear what the midwives or anyone was saying to me- you just go into a world of your own. You do eventually get into the groove of it. I have to tell you i thought the pushing was 10 times more painful!!!! Dont mean to scare you, you may cope fine- wont know until you try!

labour pain has been described as the most intense of all human pain. But i know.. when you have a tooth ache or a severe head ache, you feel like there's nothing worse.
