I am not close to being overweight and I don't have an eating disorder but I always am hungry. I never seem full or really hungry, I just can eat and eat and eat. I never do chow down on everything I can get my hands on to, but I would like to know if there is a solution to never knowing when I am really full.

To the first person that answered I do drink TONS of water daily. And to mommy2be I know I don't have diabetes because I do gain weight like any other person if I eat a lot all day.

Also I have not had a can of soda in over a year. Water is the only thing I drink.

If you can eat a lot and not gain weight then it probably means you have a high metabolism. Don't worry about it.

If you're eating a lot, but not gaining weight, it sounds like you just have a high metabolism (or maybe you're a teen-ager?). I suppose if it's really extreme you might check with your doctor and make sure you don't have a tapeworm.

If everything seems okay, though, try drinking more water. I've seen a lot of recommendations of 8 glasses a day (about 64 oz.). That should help create a feeling of fullness.

Some people suggest even more water, like double that -- 128 oz a day, for someone trying to lose weight. It doesn't sound like you wan't to lose weight, though.

First, try drinking more water (not juice or pop or coffee, just water). People always think they're hungry when they're really thirsty. Second, carry around a baggie of high protein foods, like almonds. Protein takes longer to be broken down and keeps you full longer. If that doesn't work ask your doc for a hyperthyroid test. It's a simple blood test that gives you lots of answers.

well eating alot and not gaining any weight is a sign of diabetes you might want to check into that. as far as not feeling full you try measuring what you eat. Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day. (its healthier anyway)

I have heard that alittle lemon juice in the water will make you feel less hungry. My gf told me people do that to help themselves eat less so they will lose weight.
