After you purchase your ticket, most airlines allow you to select your seat for no extra fee.

Here's a great site. Look on your reservation and find what kind of plane it is. Click the airline name, the plane name, and it'll show you all the seats, with ratings on how comfortable/convenient they are. Select your seat, then call the reservations agent to see if it's available.

On most airlines, you can choose your seat for free (obviously within your own class), you can now go online and choose your seat a couple of weeks in advance. Some budget airlines offers a queue jump service for a small fee of say £5 / $10. - Check with your airline.

I have included a link to seat layouts on planes to help you choose your best seat.

You can fly a low-cost carrier like Southwest. As long as you check in early enough, you can join the "A" boarding group and pick which ever seat you want. For an airline that assigns seats, ask if you can request a specific seat at the time you make your reservation.

Wow. I have heard of people choosing their own seats. I didn't know it was really possible. I've always wanted my own seat. Wouldn't it be nice to have a seat of your own. Think of the things you could do with your own seat. Think how envious your friends will be! Oh, how I wish to have my own seat!
