well to get the smell out, my mom always uses natures miracle for ferrets (because it the strongest and it works great for cats)

If you have nature's miracle, use it on a spot hidden on your couch and make sure it won't bleach or damage the material..cuz so far, that's the best stuff I've ever found for actually eliminating pet stains and odors. I've used it on whole houses before cleaning for landlords. Give it a try..i really think it's the only thing that works.
Good luck..Bad kitty ;)

PINE SOL dip a rag in it and blot the couch it will clean it and remove any smell but u might want to test it on an inconspicuous place. Ive always had darker couches.if u pour a cap full of it into laundry it will take out the ammonia smell of cat spray and pee.

Urine Gone or Ntaure's Miracle. Anything else is merely going to temporarily hide the smell while these 2 will actually eliminate the urine itself by breaking down and destroying the ammonia crystals. Good luck!

Nature's Miracle should work fine. Dab a bit of it on the backside of the couch, or underneath a cushion or something (somewhere not visible) to make sure it doesn't mess up the color... but it should be fine.

Try natures miracle on the underside of a cushion first to make sure it won't ruin your fabric. Try spraying Fooey or some kind of kitty no no spray when your done cleaning it up so he doesn't urinate there again.
