What s the cheapest digital camera for a beginner?

Compact digitals don't even require you to be a beginner most will point and go
however if you want to move from beginner to something more spend more on a DSLR you can add accesories to. It still has full automatic mode to point and go but you can learn with it and in the long run will be more economic than ditching your first purchase when it no longer challenges your abilities
