Theres no such thing as a teacup anything if anyone is advertising a teacup its generally a runt to a runt mating giving off a badly bred poor health puppy....
If you have a breed in mind stick to the akc standard dont look for anything less...

Bingo I have Tiny Tiny pomeranians and Maltese,I am not on this site to sell I just wanted to let you know. The Maltese will be around 6-7 #S GROWN and the Pomeranians will be no more than 5 #,s.I have 2 rare Pearl white poms and some different colors.I do no in breeding and no line breeding. The Maltese won,t be ready to go until Christmas and the poms are several weeks old. They have had all their immunizations and have been wormed as ordered by my vet. They are all vet checked and I give a written warranty.Mom and dad are my very own pets.

Go to the AKC (American Kennel Club) website. They should have breeder referrals for each breed. You don't want to buy a dog online... that's looking for trouble. Good breeders seldom advertise. Their business is through word of mouth and by being active in the kennel club and at dog shows. Anyone with dogs on a website (other than petfinder.com or something) is a backyard breeder who has probably done nothing to ensure or promote a healthy line of dogs. You're going to be looking at substandard dogs at purebred prices, who will come with huge vet bills down the road. I've heard SOOO many horror stories associated with online breeders!

From what I have heard, teacup dogs have very poor health and require a lot of vet visits! Breeding to make dogs smaller is just wrong! I will say however that Yorkshire Terriers and Yorkie-Poos generally stay pretty small. My Mom's old yorkie's weighed 5 lbs. and 4 lbs. full grown. These dogs have health issues as well (all dogs have their own anyway just as humans do) but nowhere near the list on teacups!

Good answers everyone!!! ALSO... BEWARE of these idiots advertizing "Designer" dogs...like, Puggles, schnoodles, lab-ra-doodles, seems like nowadays, anyone that can think of a "Cutesy" name for their MUTT, thinks they can sell them for hundreds of dollars! Don't fall for that, you're still getting a MUTT! I've seen things that never were meant to be crossed! "Weenie-Fetcher" was the wierdest dog I ever saw, labrador Dachsund X, looked like a mini lab with back problems. "Rotten Cocker" was another bad mix, a biting, 45# black and tan furball. (NOT from the rottweiler side, either!) "Teacup" is a bad thing, stay away from them!!! HEALTH problems galore! There are toy breeds that stay under 3-5#, though, but you get what you pay for for a purebred. www.akc.org has info on the "Teacup Scam", as well as Dogfancy.com
