ive lost my dvla private plate retention certificate, thats due to expire in 2 weeks, what do i do?

I would contact the DVLA office you went to in the first place and see if they can help with a duplicate. i got mine through this morning and will change the plates tomorrow just in case anything happens to mine

Er - it's a "retention" certificate, & you can't "retain" it? (Retain means to look after something).

No hope for you, then, is there?
