Children's immune systems aren't quite complete till they're around 6 years old, unfortunately that makes parenting tough. I was always told babysitting and being a parent are different and I always disagreed until I had my kids. They aren't different for the entertaining part, but they sure are different, 'cause only the parents have to suffer every time the child gets sick.
Nursing helps a lot, so you might want to try itif you have another later. My 6 year old gets sick more than my 15 month old who is still being nursed.

you probably need to feed him more vegetables and less meats and sugar loaded foods. These foods lower imunity and can often cause younger children to get sick even from no interactions with other sick children. I know that it may be hard to do this during the holiday season, which is the reason for the many sicknesess going around, but give salads for dinner a try. A big salad will give a wealth of nutrition for you and everyone else in your family! for more information go to www.hacres.com! have a happy thanksgiving!

My son gets sick all the time too. But he goes to Day Care, I know what you are going through, it seems endless. I agree to have a talk to the Dr and find out if there is any test they can do. Does he always come down with the one thing or is it different illnesses?

It could just be age, but one thing to consider in a chronically ill child with frequent infections is Primary Immune Deficiency Syndrome. You could google it and read about it. If it sounds like your son, bring it up to his doctor.

My daughter was sick constantly one autumn and part of the winter(a warm winter). When I took her in to the doctor after a couple months of battling cold after cold, he looked at her and said, "She looks like an allergy kid. He put her on some allergy medicine and she hasn't been that sick since.

immune system.. it's because he's never been exposed to it all... So baby's are bound to get sick alot... and maybe you should try giving your baby a bath every night and washing your hands before you pick him up... because you have a stronger immune system and so whats on your hands may affect him...

He is developing his immune system. It may be worrisome for you and uncomfortable for him but it is actually a good thing. Eventually he'll develop a stronger resistence to sickness.
