I guess it has something to do with having what you cant get. Also he may be very insecure, so if he knows someone likes him he gets scared. Therefore tries to show off by flirting with your mate. Like the little boys in the playground who hit the girl they like. i find a lot of people will find a fault in someone when they think a person fancies them. or as a lot of blokes i know do, think of the person who likes them as something to fall back on. mainly because they haven't the guts to actually find out if there could be a relationship there. It all gets too emotional for them and so they act like tarts, where they don't have to be emotionally involved with anyone, because thats a lot harder.
Sorry if thats no help, but your probably better off finding someone who has the maturity to like you for who you are.

He's trying to give a try with every girl he likes but I think he likes you too. How does he react when he is near you? Do his reactions are for a real reltionship with you? If the answers are positive then go for it girl.
