I stopped having my mother for holidays because she always sets the mood to negative. (This only happens at my house. She's so happy at my brother's house.) She questions how I cook food, always has a scowel on her face when looking at me, always looks bored and will doze off, which she did at the table when I was talking with my Aunt last Thanksgiving. It's hard to include her in conversations and anything fun when she is in her mood so I just said "no more". I am tired of have a nervous stomache and a headache by the time she leaves. I want a quiet and enjoyable holiday. I envy families who get together for the holidays and really enjoy being together.

Stop giving them money, you are perpetuating their drama and their insanity. You arn't a bad family member, but you are in the sence that you keep helping them out and they arn't learning to help them self. If you have one start scanning your phone calls, listen to them throught the answering machine, and pick up if it's someone you want to talk to that isn't asking for money. You are doing the right thing. Also tell them, call them all or wait till they call you, tell them, i will no longer help you out of your finatial issues sence this has caused my family and i a hard ship by all the help that i have given them thought money. And leave it at that, tell them they are welcome to call you but not to ask for money and the minute they do you will end the call. But at least give them all a stern notice of what will be happening, from this point forward do not under any circumstances give them any money. Your a great family memeber, teach a man to fish he eats for a life time. Teach them the spirit of that saying.

I'm pretty sure everyone has a family member that gets completely smashed before everyone gets there. My sister is the absolute worst. Every thanksgiving, christmas, newyear, she gets drunk, tries to fight everyone in sight (children included), and when we finally get tired of listening to her slur and cry and try to put her out, it gets worse. She deserves the title because the title fits her perfectly!

Yes, my oldest brother. He is always CRITICIZING and putting me and my sister down for the way we run our life. It is our choice what career we choose and we both aren't making the yearly salary. Our wages are per hour. He wants us both to be postal clerks or security guards to get the yearly salary. Both me and my sister just graduated with an Associates Degree and it is NOT out fault that the job market is so COMPETETIVE. My sister & I AREN'T INTERESTED in working those positions that he suggested.Just because we didn't graduate with a Bachelor's degree, that doesn't mean he gets to choose what we want to do. What a moron!!!

There this brother of my mom's, Jack, he is really the lowest form of life.
When we were growing up he stole my brothers paper route money and my mom's Avon money. Every time he would look for a job he would come home w/a sunburn. Jack doesn't work, never really did, but to hear him tell it he traveled the world blah blah blah.
He never had anything really and at my fathers funeral he told my brother (who is a great guy and has worked hard all his life) Jack says "these $80.00 shoes are killing my feet" my brother told him "you never owned anything you paid $80.00 for in your life"
That's our loser family member.

My sister in law, the wife of my husband's brother. She is so materialistic, spend too much money on herself yet still not satisfied. She often tell lies, and we always caught everytime her stories don't match one from another. She is rude to her husband's mother, don't care about her kids. Watch too much playboy and loves going to strip club. I think she's the worst person I ever met

My Sister-In-Law...my husbands Sister, she's not married and doesn't have any kids...still lives with the parentals...Is a recent College grad and has a pretty cushy job, with a sustainable salary...yet she is SLOPPY and such a DAMN MOOCH...instead of purchasing her own car she uses her parents car, doesn't pitch in for any type of utility bills...never buys any groceries...never pitches in for special events...And to top it off ...she still lets her Mom do her laundry and ironing, clean up her room etc. etc....How do I know this? You may ask? Because we were living with our in-laws for a few years...and just recently moved out to our new home...But when ever we do get to see her for special occasions...I literally cringe!!!

My father, he gets his plate and goes in the family room to eat with the cats and watch tv. He's so antisocial and it's weird. He's the only one who does not eat with us at dinner when we have vistors. They ask about him and it's embarrassing. Plus, he reaks of cigar smoke and it makes me sick.
