measure your room in inches, try to find tiles that will reach equaly from one side to the other and up & down(NSEW). If they fit without cuts, you save from renting a ceramic saw...other wise sset to each wall about 1/4" away from the wall and equal spread between the tiles or less. the larger the tile the larger the grout line. you can do this by eye and a long level for starters to set your first tiles then adjust by eye from there on.
you may also use spacers and if you get small enough ones(depthwise) you can just leave them imbeded and grout over them otherwise remove after tiles & glue has set...(24hrs).
on the other hand, if you tile E & W, space with side cuts equal, then N & S down the middle in a perfect straight line and let set.
following that, just fill in to the walls and work backwards to the doorway and out. Esentually, your finished.
Remove the toilet first, glue or thinset then tile, fill next day with grout and clean clean clean and clean again in a diaganial pattern...thats so you don't wash out all the grout from the tile lines.
buff and clean skin, scumb, film off tiles one more time then silicone seal with liquid sealer lavishly, then wipe up all excess and wait 24, check for highlites in the grout and silicone again as necessary, wait 24 and buff to your pleasure.
Put on the base to cover the 1/4" wall spread and replace the toilet.
Now go get the tile and if you need assistance after you've read a few books at Lowes or Home Depot (don't buy em) email me and I'll help further.

find the centre of the wall you should use a tile to set out side to side and top to bottom leave a good size cut to top bottom and sides as it will look better then put a latt around the walls where first tile starts make sure it's level then start to tile just remember start from the centre and work back get yourself some tile spacers hope this helps

first thing you need to do is go to Lowe's and ask when their next tiling class is and pay close attention to what they tell you in the class and you will be able to do the tile. its a simple thing but you need some instructions before you tackle the job

So assuming you cant afford to get someone to do it for you...

Go to a book store and look through the many DIY books and find a good one with lots of pictures and maybe even some examples of bathrooms like yours. The book should take you through all the steps from design to actually doing the tiling.

Good luck

It`s not too difficult, but not easy to tell you on here. There are many things to consider and one is where to start. I would recommend you do NOT start in the middle as someone has suggested. If you have a Wickes store near you they provide DIY leaflets giving advice (free) on all DIY projects. As i said, there are many things to consider so getting advice from your local DIY store would be a great help to you.Good luck !

best is to hire it out.
If you must do it yourself, start in the middle of the room and work towards the edges. That way everything will look even.
