Judging from where you put this question, I'll bet pennies that you already know. In case I have suddenly lost those pennies, my answer is it's a euphemism of "for C_'s sake", filling the blank with the Name of the Man Whose birth is celebrated in December.
It's a special Name, or I'd say it outright.

I think it's just a euphemism for 'For Christ's sake'. Someone came up with it and it caught on. Like 'flippin heck' 'goshdarn it' 'sugar' etc.
