All I know is, if you talk to any true Christian they were brought from darkness to light, some didn't have drug problems or anything all that bad before coming to Christ, and some did. But we all have the sin factor no matter if we do drugs, sleep around, etc. And I am sure their are atheists who do not do drugs, sleep around, etc. The whole christian thing is not anything but admitting we are not perfect and noone is. And we surrender our lives to Jesus who is perfect. I hope you have a Great Thanksgiving and please know that I don't hate atheists....

There are plenty of Atheists who aren't like that, agreed, but there are also plenty that are. It's funny though I think, far funnier, to hear the opinions atheists have of Christians, as they think we believe we're perfect...when in fact, all we are saying is that we are the worst out of everybody and thats why we need help. Thats why we need Jesus.
An atheist can be the kindest, most generous, loving person in the spance of the Universe, but without Jesus they will still be lost forever.
The healthy do not need a doctor, and so we need Jesus.

People live by their own morals and set of standards. I am not sure about God myself but i do believe in fate and that our paths have already been set so there must be some powerful force behind us all driving us toward our goals. Maybe God decides who will act in a good way and who will act in a bad way. At the end of the day we all make our own decisions and i think it is wrong to think that just because someone does not believe in God they are bad people. I am sure that there are many people who believe in God who act just as badly as those that do not believe. We all have a choice and a conscience and it is up to us how we act and behave in this world regardless of beliefs.

Yes BUT not in the way you think. Agreed there are many wonderful people who don't know God, in fact many would and do put many Christians to shame. However the "unthinkables" is the heart. We all serve a master whether we realize it or not. So those who truly know God in Christ serve Him even if they do stumble a lot. They truly seek to please Him and regret when they don't. The unbeliever however thinks of himself as good enough and rejects needing God which is to call God a liar ( an unthinkable). He also does his moral deeds with no thought to Gods glory so he steals the glory that belongs to God ( another). He also has been deceived by the Devil as Eve was and so by believing the lie and denying God they are , albeit unwittingly, serving the devil. (A big unthinkable). So its not moral behavior but the heart and attitude where these things happen.

i believe that there are good and bad in all walks of life, i do not have any disrespect for anyone be they atheists or believers in god,but if you examined the questions you will find that the atheists do disrespect the religious people, and they keep saying that they try to force them to accept their religion when in fact they are only following their faith and part of their faith is to spread the gospels,weather or not they accept them is up to the individual no one is forced ,and to answer your question NO without god i do not think that atheists would be doing all manner of unthinkables but why all the disrespect towards religious people

I'm sorry to say yes they do. I wish everyone could & would accept each others beliefs without trying to tear each other down. there are un countable belifes in this world. Why is everyone so arrogent that they are positive theres, is the only way? can we not share each of our personal beliefs without constantly attacking anothers beliefs? I believe in God personaly. I am Spiritual not religous. I have know Atheist,Christians,Jews, etc. they can be wonderfull people. Society puts labels on everything. Lables do not make people. People make lables. Big Brotherism does work. If you're looking at it from that point of view it works.
My relatives in Romania would not talk about God, Jesus or Easter in front of their young school children for fear they would mention it at school and the man would come and take them to a re-education camp.
That, by the way, is the Athiest legacy of how to control morals!

I believe that you cannot help but lean towards your upbringing and as long as you were brought up to be a good person, God can pretty much be left out of it.
FYI - I myself, am a christian - with a small c. I wouldn't deny my faith - but I wouldn't kill anybody who disagrees either.
I would like to see the instigation of a new religion - "Pratchettism"
In his discworld series of novels Terry Pratchett comes up with the idea that "whatever you believe in is what you get"!
I think that's FAB!

god is just an excuse to many people...
atheists do have morals, you don't have to believe in god to be moral. in fact the world would be a much better place without religion in it.
get a book from the library on this subject
ethics and morals, or read something by Richard dawkings
