I've always been told that if you have red hair you have to bleach it first before putting a colour on, or better still get it done professionally because the type of dye you have to use is alot stronger than your conventional

I always used the L'Oreal Preference before I just ended up getting it done professonally. It worked great. I loved the color & it stays for about 6-7 weeks.

I really wouldn't recommend colouring your hair at home. If you already have red hair then your probably best going to a salon and getting them to match it up! There's nothing worse than root glow. :)

I got some red food colouring recently. I don't know if that would work.

what is it tht you want to do to it? red is the hardest color to dye , so it is true tht you ahve to bleach it before you go for any other color rather then dark browns and black..if you wnt to dye it red..i suggest you go for a hydrience 2rr...
