No! I love gay people and I'd stick up for them whenever.
And I do not believe in God, so the Bible is nothing more to me than interesting reading.

Martin,
I believe the Holy Bible and I believe what God says.
Homosexuality is covered in the New Testament as well as the old.
Gal. 5:19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Leviticus 20:13 “If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense.
Martin, sin any sin is the same in the eyes of the living God, it is all an abomination.
Just because you are attracted to someone of the same sex doesn't mean you have to act on it. It is a choice, just as is all other sin.
Here is what Revelation, Chapter 22 has to say about it...
12 “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. 15 Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne.[e] I am the bright morning star.”

I do know that basically all of the references in the Bible to homosexuality say "don't do it", but I almost don't think it can be right. I mean, if God made you gay, why would He condemn you for it?
That is true about all the rules in Leviticus though- some of them are totally not relevant in today's society.

you make a good point about those who use the Bible selectively and without applying lower criticism, like when addressing Romans 2 outside of its context. The homosexuality at the pagan temple was about man/boy relations, so when Paul addresses homosexuality, he is not doing so within the context of committed, monogomous same-sex relationships as we have today.
I am against homesexuality because it is not natural for me. I am biased, as a heterosexual. The mere thought of sodomy goes against everything in me, but yet I would watch two hot chicks. Therefore, it is not an issue of ideological conviction, but nature...for me. I am also against it because I believe it is counterproductive for the propogation of the species through healthy families. I also believe there is a genetic issue of some sort going on within the human race that causes people to be born gay. Others, are simply confused, but I cannot determine who falls under which catagorie, so I say if you;re gay, you're gay and I wish you the best. Find someone to love forever and stay with him or her. Stay safe and know that God loves you no matter what. Find a liberal church that accepts you and will bless your union. Thank God some do and are, thus, there for you...whether they are off the mark to do so or not. Peace.

No offense to anyone out there, but why do so-called Christians have to break everything down to fit every scripture in the Bible? If someone does not think it is right, then why say anything at all? Homosexuals or anyone else in this world do not have to answer to these Christians...just God. People have become way to judgemental, and need to remember that verse in the Bible that says judge not, lest you be judged yourself. Whether I read in the Bible that homosexuality is wrong or not, it is not up to me to judge them. Many Christians need to re-evaulate thier own lives and drop that holier-than-thou attitude. Have a nice day! :)

Yes, I have decided the Bible will be my guide book.
No, I do not follow all the rules in Leviticus.
Why?
Romans 10:4 says Christ put an end to the Jewish laws.
That's why I'm CHRISTian ...I follow his ideas.
Romans 10:14 and Galations 3:13 repeat the fact that christians are not under those laws.

Anti-gay sentiments seem apparent in the more oppressed religious people. For starters, you can be a Christian. Now let's say you're getting old, have a military background, and have lots of health problems, or you've got a very stressful load of responsibilities, or your farm is suffering from a severe drought. I've noticed that when Christians have it hard, they look for scapegoats. For some, it is Jews, for others it is homosexuals. It is human nature, and religion intensifies it.

The New Testament plainly says that it is wrong and that those who participate in these sins will NOT go to Heaven.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Homosexuality is definately wrong because the many examples that god put in the bible has are what humans should follow. But over time humans forgot and created their own customs and beliefs that arent in the bible, and that the bible does not mention. People nowadays are being misled by thinking that homosexuality is something natural and normal, but its not. 1 Corinthians 5: 11 says that, "Neither fornicators (people who have sex without being married), nor idolaters (adoring things that are/is not god) , nor adulterers (people who are married and do unfaithful things), nor men kept from unnatural purposes (homosexuality, lesbianism ect), nor men who lie with men(clearly says it) , nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunks, nor revilers (people who talk bad about other people) , nor extortioners (people who scam other people), willl inherit god's kingdom." I believed homosexuality was wrong before I ever opened a bible. Shove things UP the rectum always went against my common sense. Any medical doctor worth his pay will tell you the damage this lifestyle causes.

From my experience, the majority of homosexuals out there don't even care what the Bible says about them. I love that.
