get them gift cards, then they can buy themselves stuff and you won't have to worry about getting something they already have.

I felt the same sometimes until I ask myself what's christmas - is it about exchanging gifts? I ike to think of it that way than it would be easier.

Christmas is related to the birth of Christ - that he is brought into this world to save the world.

Thus what can you bring in this world that makes the statement that you are doing good for your family? Perhaps a home-made card to thank your husband for the many years he his with you ..etc. Perhaps it could be a card to say, a surprise trip to a memorial place or something that either your gannies yearn - a listening ear, perhaps (a crad that say you will listen to thei stories).

Any of these ideas can be mixed about but bear in mind the principle - It need not be expansive , but unique to that indvidual, best of all if not bought but made it yourself.

if they have it all give them something that doesnt come in a box. get the whole family together and just have fun. love doesnt come in a box. last year i learned, thats the true meaning of christmas. the thing is im only 15. when my mom asked what i wanted for christmas i said "i want you to stop smoking, and i want to see my brother and sister"(they live in arazona). and thats just what i got. i could have not asked for more. there wasnt any presents under the tree that year but i've never felt so loved. i got to see my brother thats in the military and my sister thats in college. write a little poem or something and read it to the family on christmas make them realize that christmas is not just presents and dinner. its about having the entire family together sharing love and knowledge and thats the best gift of all

Gift certificates. They can buy their own presents and whats best - they can't complain because they bought it. Especially the fussy ones.
