i even put a towel outside for her. I know she is a good cat but I just wonder why she doesn't go all the way in and turn around. The box isn't full of cat mess but she like always sticks her butt out. I have even caught her in the act and pushed her in or tap teh box and she adjusts herself. It is just annoying as heck I don't want to yell at her becuz she goes in her box and not anywhere else. I think I will take the lid off and see if that helps her.,...thanks

Maybe the cover is spooking your cat. Some cats don't like to put themselves into places where there appears to be no easy escape. She may be trying to stay close to the entrance so that she doesn't get cornered. I've seen covered litter boxes and covered litter boxes. Just because a cat can fit inside, doesn't mean that it fits comforably inside. Why not try it without the cover and see what happens. If that works, you could try looking for a larger covered model.

I have a cat that was doing almost the same thing, so we took the lid off the box for a while and now he seems to be doing better.

LOL

That sounds funny but I know it's a pain to clean up. I think I'd try taking the lid off first so you can see what she is doing. There are rubber mats that you can place outside of the box...they are supposed to be for catching fall kitty litter of the cat's paws but it'll work for your purpose.

this is very similar to another cat i know. this cat would not squat down and go p (girl). the p would just fly everywhere and my friend took her to the vet. the vet said she was extremely nervous and frightened. he said she was scared and wanted to be ready to jump out if needed. My friend said he does have a brother that chases and scares her all the time, i dont know if this is your case but it might be. i would place the litter box in a place where nobody will be such as a corner in the basement. good luck.

If he became stray or in an outside/indoor subject, he would no longer have a muddle field experience to him. attempt to imagine about what cats have an instinct for, which isn't smelling like urine and having poop on their hair. If the poop isn't of an excellent consistency, examine weight-loss application, worms, infections and water intake. If he remains ill, he would no longer be practising ideal cleansing nevertheless. If he became separated from his mom too early he would favor to be reminded of a thanks to sparkling himself. you could do this with a warmth moist washcloth. purely "lick" him like a mom cat would (with the cloth, no longer your tongue!). i imagine you're onto a reliable idea with a better muddle field, yet to boot make sensible you've various of muddle in it, although no longer a lot that he sinks in. a minimum of two" is needed for ideal burial. it would purely take time or a substitute in muddle too, previously he receives it.

The litter box may be too small for her. Maybe try a larger box

It's the lid I think. My one cat was freaked out by it.
