Yes. But when it happens, they don't call it the cockpit anymore. It becomes the box office instead.

yes i have, it was on a fligth from brisbane to cairns, was a bit of a shock, not being sexist or anything, the flight was good.
my guess is just to make it in that job you need to be better than the best man to get the job, so i was happy about flying with them.
the worst pilot I had was a rookie pilot flying from koh samui to phuket, the flight was fine but the landing was a dead set shocker the plane was rocking side to side as the wheels touched and then skewed up the runway, was a feat and a half he managed to pull the plan e up safely.
even so I love flying was even set to become a helicopter pilot till i failed maths c, oh well...

All planes are wired for "turn signals" right now. All you would really need to do is just allow your port/starboard red and green lights to blink with the touch of a button. I mean they are already there to let you know if you're head on or behind another plane. However, the wing's strobes would interfere at night. If a ground crewmember cannot see a huge plane and gets his/her foot run over, then a blinker wouldn't solve stupidity. As far as mid-air collisions go, as a closure rate of over 1,200 mph and your TCAS yelling, would you really use a blinker? Besides the fact that ATC would be having a **** fit about a possible collision.

I hope so! Because I want to be a pilot when I get older. And if I can't be captain, heck being a first officer isn't bad either, it's great!
But yeah, I do think there are female one's out there. At least that's good news for me! :D

Yes indeed. I flew back from NY to Sydney early this month and to my delight as I waited for the aircraft (747?) to begin taxiing, a sexy female voice came across the PA system and introduced herself as the captain of my Qantas flight from the LA leg 'till Sydney.
'Twas cool

We have loads of them. Flying everything from 737-800's upto 747-200's. They are no different to male pilots and in some cases are better. I have sat in the flight deck many times with them. (not to good a reversing though...hence they have push-back tugs)
