I am NOT saying that he wants to be with me at all - so don't even start with that. We are and want to remain friends. We don't even see each other much since school. He just thinks that he is in the wrong relationship and is a mess about it.

I am just looking for other perspectives on this as I have told him my opinion about this already.

The reason we get into relationships is to see if this is the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with, be the other parent to our children, grow old together, ect. If he thinks he's in the wrong relationship, he probably is. When you start to question what you are doing, chances are, you are doing something wrong. He needs to get out before any more feelings get hurt. The longer he stays in a relationship that has turned sour, the longer it will take for him to move on. Without knowing all the reasons, this is the best advice I could give. Good luck with you and for your friend.

Well, we ARE married, so I really don't think about it. When you've been married for seven years, you wonder what kind of debt your wife will rack up on your credit card for Christmas and the coming baby. I have enough to worry about with a broken ankle that is still healing, but I managed to secure a part-time job doing bookings for a vacuum cleaner company at night and am already doing great on the numbers I'm getting. If we can get sales up, then the bonuses will be bigger.

I worry about my nine-year-old son going to his friends' houses and not coming home till six at night. Emmy lets him get away with this. I used to pick him up but 'was banned' so that he could be 'more independent.' What on earth does that mean to a nine-year-old?

I wonder who's going to get the last of the leftovers and if there will be something for me when I get home tonight. Emmy's been going to bed early because of 'hormonal issues' and exhaustion. Of course, she hasn't lifted a finger around the house for two months now. I NEARLY FLIPPED when I found out she was pregnant. The doctor told her she was infertile.

If God doesn't want us to divorce, then He must be saying He'll help us with our marriages. And He does. Whoever your friend married is the one that God will help him find joy with, a unique joy that passes understanding.
