A "Green Card" is an identification card that identifies you as a Permanent Resident of the United States. This means that you can basically live in the US forever.

A Visa only grants you permission to visit the US for a certain amount of time and usually for a specific reason (tourism, work, business, etc.) After the time on your Visa expires you can try to extend it (extensions aren't always granted) otherwise you have to leave. If you violate the terms of your Visa you are considered to be committing a felony and may never be granted a Visa again.

I'm fairly certain that if you are a citizen in a NATO country you don't need a Visa to travel to the US. However, the limit of your stay can not exceed 90 days (in most cases).

No. Having a green card means that you are a legal permanent resident in the United States. You do not need a visa.

No...A green card(which hasn't been green for years) is a permanent resident card...So that means you can stay as long as you want in the US.

Note: I'm assuming the permanent resident card is from the US.
