why do men work with this logic ... (i like you so much that i have to leave you)
isn´t it supposed to be the other way around ( or maybe i´m a magnet for emotional screw ups?)

Yeah, being burned before. They think if they like someone that means it will end badly. They are probably projecting past experience.

It's not all men who think that way. although it is perceived as being a male characteristic to run away from commitment or love. I have to admit, it depends how strong the relationship is, because (again this my take on the situation) if two people really care about each other the relationship shouldn't be a burden, but an enhancement to your life! Therefore if you've only dated men who run away from commitment I say 'screw them' (in a manner of speaking!) There's plenty of other decent men out there!

I think it's a combination of insecurity and shyness. Those guys have a hard time opening up to females because they fear rejection. Although they like a certain girl, they would rather run away and play it safe than be turned down. I sometimes feel like that myself. It's a challenge for some guys to work up enough self confidence to approach a girl when they know there's a possibility she won't accept his offer. The guys who are successful at relationships are the ones who are able to overcome this fear. While they will inevitably suffer some rejection, their persistence will eventually be appreciated by a reciprocal reaction from a woman.

Maybe you're looking for the "wrong" man in a pack of babies! A mature man who really wants a relationship will not run if it's "feeling right" for him. Don't settle for less than the "prince", honey...in the meantime, be willing to kiss the frogs. Godloveya.

Because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings. Girls get so overly emotional about "relationships" and guys just can't handle all the drama and other crap that comes with it. Girls are just way to complicated and we'd rather not commit ourselves to all that.

Yeada, Yeada, Yeada, yes, I know! I am not good enough for you! Hum mm.... I could never make you happy....yeah whatever! If I ever did want to marry, you....yeah yeah!!
Why don't they just be truthful and say, I am not ready to make a commitment?

Please if u believe that than u slow it's the same as (it's not u it's me) when a guy brakes up with a girl that's wat they say. So really when a guy say (i like u so much that i have 2 leave u) that means they are tired of this relationship and they wanna date other people.

I don't think men want to be tied down into a relationship right away. Don't rush into any relationship, you might scare them away.
