I am a 22 year old male who is 5'4 and wants to be 5'8.I fell inferior to taller guys and my mate selection is very limited.I planned on putting away $5,000 a year if I had a good paying job to save for the operation in about 8 years.Maybe the operation can change my gene pool and make my kids taller than expected if I had kids.

you do not want to do this, extremely painful, time consuming and potential of complications. This would be recommenede if you had assymetric legs for any reason. Your mate choice is not restricted, and this will not change your genes either. I would suspect this to be highly non cosmetic too, talk to orthopedic doctors before you start putting money away, good luck
